Impressed - openrun mini

I pondered long and hard before buying these Shokz open-run headphones. They are not cheap and some reviews I read had criticisms. However, I have found them to be great. They are comfortable, light, easy to use, fit well, don’t slip and the sound is good. Some of the reviews criticise the lack of base, and I agree there is less than normal, but that doesn’t take away that the sound quality is still good, in fact I can hear and understand the lyrics better with these. Pairing has been a dream. The Bluetooth range stretches the length of my 80ft garden. My only criticism is that although I can pair these with my Tv,, it will not play, this may be a problem with the Tv rather than the headphones., so not deducting a star for that.

Good but fragile

I had my openruns for 3 months. Really liked them but fell off my bike whilst wearing them and both sides broke where the curve joins the main band….obviously a weak point.
Not really what I expected from a premium brand marketing its self at outdoor activity enthusiasts!

Great for running and every day, but fragile

I love my Shokz Aeropex, and I also have OpenMove, but I’ve gone through a couple of pairs of Aeropex. The build is not as robust as it could be, and both my Aeropex have broken earpieces. One broke on the curve of the frame, and the other at the joint. If there isn’t gone bone contact, the sound quality obviously goes down. So I wish they were as tough as the OpenMove.
That said, they are great for running or walking, since you can listen to music or audiobooks or podcasts and still hear bicycles, cars or other runners coming up behind you. The sound quality is as good as I might wish, and I wear them in the house. They are comfortable, and unobtrusive, and don’t make my ears sweaty.
Highly recommended, but I still wish they were stronger.

Awesome plus and then some

I am stunned at how brilliant my new Shokz OpenRun Pro headphones are. As a hearing aid user I took a chance that bone conduction would work for me at all, but I am really surprised that I now hear musical detail that I have not heard for years. It is almost as if my (only slightly) dysfunctional ears have been completely bypassed. I got the Shokz on the off chance that I can be energised to improve my running pace but from day one I am using them in my non running life. The controls are simple and easy to use. Any chance you might move into the hearing aid market - you will clean up if you do!!!!

I cried

My purpose for using these headphones is different to most in that I have atresia in one ear and get sound via a bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA). As normal headphones don’t work well for me the surprise and delight I found when given them by my daughter was palpable. I can see they’re mid range but to hear a voice singing in one ear, a saxophone in my other and backing musicians at the back and top of my head was magical. Those words by no means describe the experience and clarity of the sounds I heard. Not ever having heard stereo until I was 60 in 2004, I first experienced it with the BAHA but these headphones have taken it to a different level. They’re just wonderful.
